Detail Itinerary

 

Day 1:  Arrival Yangon by morning flight Q

Welcome to the garden city Yangon.

Arrive by morning flight to Yangon International Airport. Our guide will welcome you at the airport and transfer to hotel for check in. Then stay leisure.

** Overnight at Traders Hotel, Deluxe room.

 

Day 2:  Yangon full day excursion

After breakfast visit to Sule Pagoda, Maha Bandoola Park with Independence Monument, located at the heart of the city and then tour continue to visit Botataung Pagoda, a famous landmark on Yangon’s waterfront where one can see Buddha’s hair relic and Nanthida Jetty to see people coming and going for work from either side of Yangon River. Evening visit to the 2,500 years old magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda sheathed in 11 tons of pure gold and 4,350 diamonds weighing 1800 carats!  At sunset, the Shwedagon offers visitor a spectacular show of lights and shadows. ** Overnight at Traders Hotel, Deluxe room. (Please be noted that, your travel is date 15th April is the third day of our Thingyan Festival. So you can visit and see Thingyan Festival and celebrate water festival. Our tour guide will suggest you to visit the places.)

 

Day 3 : Yangon – Bagan by am flight Q

Transfer to Yangon Airport for early morning flight to Bagan (80 minutes). On arrival at Nyaung Oo Airport, you will be transferred to hotel for refreshment. The day is spent exploring the town including colourful Nyaung Oo Local Market, Shwezigon Pagoda, Wetkyi-in Gubyaukkyi (a cave temple with exquisite jatakas murals paintings) and the elegant Htilominlo Temple (noted for its plaster carvings) and Tharaba Gate.In the afternoon, visit Ananda (an architectural masterpiece of the early-style temple), Ananda Okkyaung (one of the few surviving brick monasteries from the early Bagan period), Thatbyinnyu (the highest in Bagan, rising to 61 m) and Dhammayangyi Temple (noted for its remarkable brickwork). Enjoy sunset at one of the most famous temples in Bagan.

 (In Bagan there are more than 2000 temples & stupas. Indeed it is difficult to cover all temples within limited time. Therefore we have carefully selected only some major temples for you in order to avoid hectic tourism.  But if you want to see more temples, just let your guide or driver knows.  They can show you as much temples as possible within your stay.)

 

Day 4:  Bagan Excursion

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Myinkaba village and observe the process of traditional lacquer-ware, one of the best-known Myanmar handricrafts and a speciality of Bagan. Visit Myinkaba Gubyaukkyi (an early period Pyu-style temple of Hindu influence). Nextstop at Manuha and Nanpaya temples. In the afternoon, enjoy an excursion to the village of Minnanthu. A visit to some of the most interesting temples such as Payathonzu, Lemyethnar, Sinbyushin, Nandaminnya and Minnanthu monastery.

Enjoy sunset over the Ayeyarwaddy River at Bupaya.

Day 5:  Bagan – Mandalay by AM flight Q

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transfer to airport for flight to Mandalay. On arrival to Tada-Oo International Airport, you will be proceeding to famous Mahamuni Pagoda, one of the most sacred Buddha Image in Mandalay. Then a short visit to Gold foil making cottage industry. Check-in at hotel and followed by afternoon sightseeing that begins with Mandalay Palace, Shwenandaw Monastery, noted for its exquisite wood carvings; Kuthodaw Pagoda, known as the World’s Biggest Book for its stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures. Tour continues to Mandalay Hill, a vantage point for a panoramic view of the city and a spectacular sunset view.

It is worthy to have a stroll up the hill enjoying panoramic views from different location. Return can be made by car as there is also a car track by the base of elevator just before the platform.

Day 6 :  Mandalay – Mingun – Amarapura – Mandalay 

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to Mayuanchan jetty to take the private chartered boat to Mingun.  Worth visit pleases at Mingun and Mingun Pagoda: the biggest brick pile or the biggest unfinished pagoda, Mingun bell: the biggest ringing bell in the world and outstanding shape Mya Thein Tan pagoda: The Taj Mahal of Myanmar.  Then return by boat to Mandalay.

In the afternoon, visit to an ancient city of Amarapura, 11 km south of Mandalay highlighting Bagaya Monastery with a famous collection of Buddha images (or) Maha Gandayon Monastery.  Then proceed to 1.2 km long U Bein Wooden Bridge, built since 1782 with over 1700 huge teak pillars, is one of the worth visiting sites.  The clients can have leisurely walk on the 1.2 KM long bridge and enjoy sunset.

Day 7 :  Mandalay – Yangon by am flight Q

After breakfast Transfer to airport for flight to Yangon. On arrival transfer to hotel and take a rest. Afternoon visit to Bogyoke market – a shopping market with more than 2000 shops selling all kinds of products but of special mention is the beautiful exotic “Shan Bag” velvet slippers, lacquer ware, Gems shops and all sorts of handicraft and proceed to stroll around in China Town, an evening market, selling various kinds of food, fruits and products. ** Overnight at Savoy Hotel, Deluxe room. [Breakfast]

 

Day 8 : Yangon Departure by AM flight

Breakfast at hotel and stay leisure before your departure time. Then transfer to International airport for your departure flight. [Breakfast]
