Day 1 . Arrival by AM flight (TG-303) Q
Welcome to the Garden City Yangon.
Arrive by morning flight to Yangon International Airport. Our English station guide will give you welcome gifts including postcard & Map of Myanmar. Then, transfer to hotel for early check in (based on the availability of rooms upon arrival) and free at leisure.
Evening visit to the 2,500 years old magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda sheathed in 11 tons of pure gold and 4,350 diamonds weighing 1800 carats! At sunset, the Shwedagon offers visitor a spectacular show of lights and shadows. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.
Day 2 . Yangon full day excursion
After breakfast at hotel, visit Botataung Pagoda, a famous landmark on Yangon’s waterfront where one can see Buddha’s hair relic and Nanthida Jetty to see people coming and going for work from either side of Yangon River. And then continue to Sule Pagoda, Maha Bandoola Park with Independence Monument, located at the heart of the city. Then continue to Bogyoke market- a shopping market with more than 2000 shops selling all kinds of products but of special mention is the beautiful exotic “Shan Bag” velvet slippers, lacquer ware, Gems shops and all sorts of handicraft, Chaukhtatkyi Reclining Buddha and Karaweik Royal Barge (a royal floating barge on the Kandawgyi Royal Lake, for photo stop). Day 3 . Yangon – Mandalay by AM flight Q
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transfer to airport for flight to Mandalay. On arrival to Tada-Oo International Airport, transfer to Mandalay. On the way, you can visit the famous Mahamuni Pagoda, one of the most sacred Buddha Image in Mandalay. Continue to your hotel. Check-in at hotel.
Afternoon sightseeing that begins with Shwenandaw Monastery, noted for its exquisite wood carvings; Kuthodaw Pagoda, known as the World’s Biggest Book for its stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures. Tour continues to Mandalay Hill, a vantage point for a panoramic view of the city and a spectacular sunset view.
It is worthy to have a stroll up the hill enjoying panoramic views from different location. Return can be made by car as there is also a car track by the base of elevator just before the platform. Overnight at hotel. (B)
Day 4 . Mandalay – Mingun – Amarapura – Mandalay
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to Mayuanchan jetty to take the private chartered boat to Mingun. Worth visit pleases at Mingun and Mingun Pagoda: the biggest brick pile or the biggest unfinished pagoda, Mingun bell: the biggest ringing bell in the world and outstanding shape Mya Thein Tan pagoda: The Taj Mahal of Myanmar. Then return by boat to Mandalay.
In the afternoon, visit an ancient city of Amarapura, 11 km south of Mandalay highlighting Bagaya Monastery with a famous collection of Buddha images (or) Maha Gandayon Monastery. Then proceed to 1.2 km long U Bein Wooden Bridge, built since 1782 with over 1700 huge teak pillars, is one of the worth visiting sites. The clients can have leisurely walk on the 1.2 KM long bridge. Then Overnight at hotel. (B)
Day 5 . Mandalay – Ava – Sagaing – Mandalay
After breakfast at hotel, visit to Inwa (Ava), a historical capital founded by King Thado Moinbya in 1364. Extended visit will be made to Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery which is a fine example of Myanmar masonry art and architecture, Mainu Brick Monastery and old watch tower.
Tour continues to picturesque Sagaing Hills, 21 km south-east of Mandalay and west bank of Ayeyarwaddy River. Sagaing Hills is a retreat for Buddhist devotees with numerous pagodas and monasteries. New Year compulsory dinner and overnight at hotel in Mandalay. (B)
Day 6 . Mandalay – Heho –Nyaung Shwe –Inle by AM flight
After breakfast transfer to airport for flight to Heho. Drive to Nyaung Shwe where Inle Lake is situated. Transfer to the hotel for check in. And then morning excursion in Inle Lake (by boat) visiting to the following places like unique leg-rowers and scenic beauty, fishing canoes using special methods for fishing and collecting seaweed, lakebed mud etc to make floating gardens. Then you will visit well known Nga Pe Chaung (Jumping Cat) monastery and Silver smith factory.
Then visit to Cheroot making factory, Boat making carpentry workshop, Silk weaving factory. In the late afternoon, visit the most famous Paungdaw Oo Pagoda. On the way back to Nyaung Shwe you will pass through some villages to enjoy life on the lake. Overnight at hotel in Inle lake. (B)
Day 7 . Inle – Indein – Inle
After breakfast at hotel, visit of Indein village; the hidden treasure of Inle Lake. It is Shwe Indaing pagoda complex that is newly open to International travelers where one will be totally amaze of ruined stup as from 13” century. On the way, you will enjoy the nature beauty on the way like vegetable gardens, child and young monks (novices) enjoying their morning bath in the clear stream, water buffaloes and people among the paddy fields etc.
After a nice stroll among the pagoda complex, walk back along the bamboo forest to the jetty to take back the boat to Inle Lake. Then visit the Silver Smith to experience the local methods of making silver wares. Return back to your hotel in the evening. Overnight at hotel in Inle Lake. (B)
Day 8 . Inle – Heho – Yangon by PM flight Q
After breakfast at hotel, free at leisure in Inle Lake.
In the afternoon, transfer to airport for flight to Yangon. On arrival transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel at Yangon. (B)
Day 9 . Departure by PM flight (TG-306)
After breakfast at hotel, free at leisure.
