Itinerary

Arrival by AM flight (TG-303) Q

Welcome to the Garden City Yangon.

Arrive by morning flight to Yangon International Airport. Our English station guide will give you welcome gifts including postcard & Map of Myanmar. Then, transfer to hotel. On the way to the hotel, visit Giant Marble Buddha Image and white elephant. And then continue to Kabar Aye Pagoda, which is significant for its Sixth Synod which was held in its large compound in 1954, Mahapasana Cave, located in the same compound. Check in at your hotel and free at leisure. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

Yangon (HD Morning Tour)

After breakfast at hotel, visit Botataung Pagoda, a famous landmark on Yangon’s waterfront where one can see Buddha’s hair relic and Nanthida Jetty to see people coming and going for work from either side of Yangon River. And then transfer to the train station to take the local train. You can see the local life of local people; how they earn their living.

At the end of the morning, return back to your hotel and free at leisure in the afternoon. Christmas dinner at Le Planteur about 19h00PM. Overnight at hotel in Yangon. (B, D)

 

Yangon (HD Afternoon Tour)

After breakfast at hotel, free at leisure in the morning.

In the afternoon, visit Sule Pagoda, Maha Bandoola Park with Independence Monument, located at the heart of the city, Chaukhtatgyi reclining Buddha image and Bogyoke market. Evening visit to the 2,500 years old magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda sheathed in 11 tons of pure gold and 4,350 diamonds weighing 1800 carats!  At sunset, the Shwedagon offers visitor a spectacular show of lights and shadows. Yangon – Mandalay by AM flight  Q     

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transfer to airport for flight to Mandalay. On arrival to Tada-Oo International Airport, you will be proceeding to famous Mahamuni Pagoda, one of the most sacred Buddha Image in Mandalay. Continue to your hotel. Check-in at hotel.

Afternoon sightseeing that begins with Shwenandaw Monastery, noted for its exquisite wood carvings; Kuthodaw Pagoda, known as the World’s Biggest Book for its stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures. Tour continues to Mandalay Hill, a vantage point for a panoramic view of the city and a spectacular sunset view.

It is worthy to have a stroll up the hill enjoying panoramic views from different location. Return can be made by car as there is also a car track by the base of elevator just before the platform. Overnight at hotel in Mandalay. (B)

Mandalay – Amarapura – Mandalay – Bagan by PM flight Q

After breakfast at hotel, visit to an ancient city of Amarapura, 11 km south of Mandalay highlighting Bagaya Monastery with a famous collection of Buddha images (or) Maha Gandayon Monastery.  Then proceed to 1.2 km long U Bein Wooden Bridge, built since 1782 with over 1700 huge teak pillars, is one of the worth visiting sites.  The clients can have leisurely walk on the 1.2 KM long bridge.

And then continue to the airport for flight to Bagan. Overnight at hotel in Bagan. (B)

 

Bagan Excursion

After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll be taken to Shwezigon Pagoda a prototype of later Myanmar stupa. Then to Wetkyi-in Gubyaukkyi Temple with fine mural pain-tings of Jataka scenes.

Afternoon sightseeing tour continues with visit Manuha Temple with gigantic Buddha images, a captive king’s impression of life in prison; Nanpaya, an Early-style temple with the finest stone carvings. Although it has spots lights installed, it would be safer to bring your own touch as electricity supply can be shut-off from time to time.

In the evening you will be visiting the Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece resembling a Greek Cross. Overnight at hotel in Bagan. (B)

 (In Bagan there are more than 2000 temples & stupas. Indeed it is difficult to cover all temples within limited time. Therefore we have carefully selected only some major temples for you in order to avoid hectic tourism.  But if you want to see more temples, just let your guide or driver knows.  They can show you as much temples as possible within your stay.)

Bagan excursion

After breakfast at hotel, free at leisure in the morning but we arranged the bicycle for our clients so that clients can be able to ride a bike in Bagan area by their own.

In the afternoon, our car and guide will pick them to visit a last temple before will be Sulamuni temple where you can see fine frescos from 18th century Kone Baung era and it also has a beautiful back round history so make sure you get that.

Late afternoon visit Minnan thu village to see the typical Myamar style of village life. Then proceed to Lay Myathna and Phaya Thonezu Temple and have a stroll among the ruin temple. Overview of Bagan temple from nearby temple called Tayoke Pyay and that calls for that day. Overnight at hotel (B)

Bagan – Heho by AM flight Q – Nyaung Shwe – Inle Lake

After breakfast transfer to airport for flight to Heho. Drive to Nyaung Shwe where Inle Lake is situated.  Transfer to the hotel for check in.  And then morning excursion in Inle Lake (by boat) visiting to the following places like unique leg-rowers and scenic beauty, fishing canoes using special methods for fishing and  collecting seaweed, lakebed mud etc to make floating gardens. Then you will visit well known Nga Pe Chaung (Jumping Cat) monastery and Silver smith factory.

Then visit to Cheroot making factory, Boat making carpentry workshop, Silk weaving factory. In the late afternoon, visit the most famous Paungdaw Oo Pagoda. On the way back to Nyaung Shwe you will pass through some villages to enjoy life on the lake. Overnight at Resort in Inle lake. (B)

Inle – Indein – Inle

After breakfast at hotel, visit of Indein village; the hidden treasure of Inle Lake.  It is Shwe Indaing pagoda complex that is newly open to International travelers where one will be totally amaze of ruined stup as from 13” century.  On the way, you will enjoy the nature beauty on the way like vegetable gardens, child and young monks (novices) enjoying their morning bath in the clear stream, water buffaloes and people among the paddy fields etc.

After a nice stroll among the pagoda complex, walk back along the bamboo forest to the jetty to take back the boat to Inle Lake.  Then visit the Silver Smith to experience the local methods of making silver wares. Return back to your hotel in the evening. New Year Compulsory dinner and overnight at Resort in Inle Lake. (B, D)

Transfer to airport for flight to Thandwe.  On arrival transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
